Why make fun of the guy? He stepping up to try and make the place better. The city has lost almost all of its tax base as Sheet & Tube, Cold Metal, and others have left. The roads are full of potholes and police and fire employees have been getting laid off. I hope he turns his neighborhood around. I don't live in the area anymore however I remember the area being run down in the 70's but nothing compared to the shape it is now.

Hats off to you, Mr. Sokoloff. My aunt lives in Campbell and the whole downtown area from Robinson Rd up to the Family Dollar is just horrendous. We were over there Sunday and I could tell something had changed and I noticed the new paint on the row houses and the cut grass. It looks really good and will only look better with more time and work. I wouldn't mind donating a Saturday morning to helping paint, bag trash, or burn weeds. That area has just been let go beyond belief. It is so sad. Shows what one person who cares can do.
Finally an average person who believe's in this community and is stepping up and doing something good for it.... Im a bus driver over there an love that area for what it was, no you cant get back what it use to be but it really has some potential with the right caring people to get involved such as Mr. Sokoloff...

I don't go to the company houses very often to see my in-laws. I've only been there maybe 4 times this summer but almost every time i go i see people working. The people who started this project are seeing it through & that's great! If you look around over there you'll notice that the renters are even taking some pride in there own yards. Cutting weeds that have been there for ages.
