Where's The Honor?

Unfortunately, there was never any honor in going into Iraq, to begin with.

There is no honor in invading and occupying a smaller and weaker nation that was no threat to us. Those are the acts of a bully and a coward.

Huckabee is confusing "honor" with "pride". He really is more concerned with "saving face" or his own "pride" than the nonexistent "honor" of the ongoing tragedy of the U.S. military occupation of Iraq.

Ron Paul is %100 right.

I'm so tired of reading reports from old, out of touch people who don't recognize the reality that modern day polling isn't scientific or even valid. Telephone polling was great for the 70s and 80s when everybody communicated the same way. These days, savvy people not only screen their calls with caller ID (and don't answer numbers they don't recognize), but they have cell phones with numbers that aren't published.

The media is reporting what the media is reporting. Too lazy to get the real story about the amazing support that Ron Paul has across the nation, they take whatever the main stream polling reports show and completely embarass themselves in the process.

Just wait until the third quarter figures come in next week. People will have to recognize once and for all that mainstream polling is DEAD.

Thank you for including Ron Paul in your story. I disagree that he has no support. Didn't he "win" the debate? Didn't Fox News (Hannity) have some egg on their face when they lied about the results of their own ahem poll? Given far less air time he's "won" other debates too...yet no major media coverage...what are they afraid of?
The truth?

Ron Paul isn't one of the media selected front runners that we are "supposed to" vote for. Well guess what? America is beginning to wake up and there's gonna be hell to pay for those who support the same old same old.
The 3 three Republican front runners are afraid to debate RP, because they'd get their butts handed to them, they'd rather marginalize him and snicker WHILE PERPETUATING THE OLD BOYS CLUB.

Please do a bit more research and report the message that Ron Paul is trying to get out - America = Constitutional Government. Check into Ron Paul's voting record, he walks the walk and doesn't just talk the talk.

I usually register as an independent, have voted Democrat and Republican, I have no vested interest in "my" party winning....I'd rather vote for the best candidate, that would be Ron Paul.

Well written and persuasive article. Thank you for reiterating the disctinction between honor and pride.

It's honorable to be honest about the war and not let our men die. It's not any honor to let men die while they die for the principles not set by our Constitution. How anyone can use "honor" while men die for foreign interests of the UN is amazing considering the UN cannot stand us anymore, and they were never a threat to our national interests. Sure Saddam was terrible, but do we now attack every other country that has insane leaders? We would have to fight over 50 countries. Ron Paul makes sense once again.

Excuse me?? Ron Paul has 'virtually no support'??? You definitely need to wake up and smell the coffee. Ron Paul easily has more support from the people than any other candidate running for office and the dallas morning news is the most biased rag iv"e ever read
