Everyone needs to get comfortable with 3 bucks a gallon even though prices may be dropping a few cents right now. No reason to dash out and buy that gas hogging SUV with the big rebate. As long as no one is interested in alternate fuels, this problem will continue to exist in the USA.

I had to laugh when that whole thing about the alaskan pipeline being shut down for repairs, because they were actually starting to mention that it may drive the cost of gas up to cover the repairs.

Wasn't it just last year when it was revealed that the gas companies made disgustingly huge profits - and they tried to justify it all by saying the money was needed to do upgrades and repairs, now they are saying they need MORE money to fix this leak? Where did all those profits from last year go? Not for repairs, it went straight into their pockets.
