To the Vindicator Editor and Sean Barron,
I feel the article was well done. It covered the entire spectrum of the events at Buhl Park on Labor Day/ Buhl Day.
I was really impressed with the parts that reminded people in Sharon,Pa. that a team of men in Sharon,Pa. actually built a car in 1915 (91 yrs.ago) that achieved 40 MPG. Today there are people who believe that the US car makers can't build a car to achieve at least 40 mpg, in the year 2006?
Then I was happy to see my 2004 Toyota PRIUS mentioned, averaging 50 MPG.
Sean put his point across that a car has been built and it was done in 1997,that can get 40-50 mpg car, but not by any US car co.
I wonder why the US car companies can't build a sound, relable, family size car to achieve at least 40 MPG? Could it be they own too much Oil Stock? or they don't believe the working middle class care's for fuel efficient cars? or could it be the policy of the US car co. still stands as it started 55 years ago-
'They (US car buyers)will buy what we build no matter what' and 'American Drivers you will buy what we (US car co's) build no matter what you really want and need"
Fuel effeciency is not our(US car co's) concern.
Thank you Sean Barron, Keep up the fine reporting.
