Liberals are ruining this country, removing all morality from daily life. Liberalism is one step away from satanism.

it is a free country and why shouldn't we be allowed to pray in school
so for the respect of those who do why not a moment of silence the others can do home work or sleep what ever just give the ones who like to pray that respect shut up for 2 mins please

Did the anonymous parent think the prayers would burn her childs ears? It's amazing how one anonymous parent can change a practice that's been going on for 80 years. The parent changed the daily lives of every student in that school. One person's voice heard above all the others. I'm sure he/she claimed that the school and other students were forcing their religious beliefs on her child, but she thinks it's okay to force her religious beliefs on the entire student body.

If the inability to recite a prayer in school will subject your kids to Satan's will, they probably were already on their way to Hell. I don't want the pastor teaching math, nor the teacher leading prayers. No one can stop your child from praying silently if he wants to. I suspect God has pretty good hearing.

Prayer never hurt anyone. There is more violence in schools today than years ago when we all prayed together in the classroom. If you do not want your child to hear a prayer, it is your child who is already on his/her way to hell, not mine.

There maybe be more violence in schools today but it is largely due to students with mental health issues not students not praying. Remember Columbine? Those perpetrators were Black right? And speaking of violence, isn't rape a violent crime? Who do we see on the news daily involved in sex rings, luring students to Arkansas, etc? What aboaut these illicit relationships we keep seeing involving students and teachers. You are right prayer is the answer. That would stop all of that, right?

No, I am not saying that prayer is the answer or that it will fix all of the problems with violence in our schools. I am only trying to point out that a prayer has never done bodily harm. If I had to choose between my child hearing a prayer or taking a bullet/being raped, I would choose the prayer....wouldn't you? I can understand why some parents don't want their children to be subjected to religion in school, and I'm fine with that. However, I just don't understand why parents are willing to fight against prayer and not the other major issues in our schools.
