This group of people were at OSP protesting the death penalty? It seems the Kenneth Biros story is what got them out. This piece of human waste raped, tortured and brutally murdered a young woman. Where is the justice for her? To say the lethal injection is inhumane - come on!! Where was the humanity when this scum chopped up that woman's body? Do ya think that hurt? I'm guessing yes. But this worthless POS is crying like a child, afraid of pain. Like all cowards, he can't face what he's done or accept responsiblilty for his actions. Lethal injection hurts, huh? Too frickin' bad, @#$%&, I HOPE it hurts.

There is not one positive thing about the death penalty. It does not deter crime. It creates more victims. It cost more than warehousing them after theyve exhausted all their appeals. On top of all that why set them free? Death only releases them from this life. It doesnt bring back the victims. Of course if it were my sister that ken raped and tortured I would also want him dead. Thats only human nature. I didnt even know Tami and I get sick at the thought of that animal.lets look at the big picture, though. People are hired to kill people on death row. Hello? There is something about that in itself thats just not right. I myself would rather die than sit in a cell the rest of my life. Who wouldnt? I am very sorry for the victims families , yet at the same time what about the victims who didnt ask to be related to these vicious killers? Do any of us know for a fact that it wont be our loved one on death row someday? Mothers Fathers, sons, daughters, brothers, sisters? I hope that we wont have the choice to sentence a person to death . Its barbaric. Closure? There will never be closure to violent crimes against us. There is however Jesus Christ. Also how about life with no parole?

I work at OSP, and the life the inmates have there really isn't all that bad considering what they have done. They have ice machines in their blocks. They get to order "out" once a quarter, ie, KFC, pizza, and so on. They have their own library and gyms. They get treated better than any other inmate in the state. Oh and yes, how can I forget. Last fall when Bill Glass ministries came to our place the warden had a Harley Davidson motorcycle brought up the the death row block so the inmates could see and touch it. Nice huh? Not to mention this warm weather we're having, but they also have the heat in the prison up to an astonishing rate. We sit around and sweat all day. I think they have it pretty darn good. So if and when their execution date comes around I say GOOD RIDDANCE...

The Death penalty should be abolished period. It is primitive, medieval, and a third world form of punishment that shouldn't be practiced by world leading countries. The reply by "used to believe" hits the nail on the head. Our government shouldn't have the ability to take a life no matter how obscene the crime. If you are a christian, then this is wrong! Taking someone out of society by locking them up for the rest of their living life is acceptable and I can agree with, but for the government to play God is where I draw the line.

Why is it that these "enlightened" "progressive" liberals who protest against the death penalty are NEVER seen protesting against these criminal animals at their trials?

Why, it's almost as if they feel criminals have more rights than victims, doesn't it?

Exactly, fed up. Let's not put them to death, let's warehouse these drains on society, feed them, give them medical attention, allow them to live in air conditioned comfort, give them library access, tv, fast food every quarter (per Moose), allow them to visit with their loved ones, all on the taxpayer's dime. Let's forget the bruality they inflicted on their victims, cuz, after all, it's society's fault.

What a bunch of BS.

"There is not one positive thing about the death penalty." You are correct. There at least 2 good reasons. 1) It provides 199% assurance that the miscreant will ever kill again. That's a good thing. 2. The punishment meted out will be commensurate with the crime, at least in its finality.

Open your mind please. If someone killed your child do you really and truly believe that putting the killer to death is ever going to change the fact that your child is gone? I find it hard to believe that anyone in their right mind would think that something like that will ever just go away. Its revenge. Id love to talk to someone whos been through it and ask them if they really feel any better. prison is no day at the beach. Lets say someone just came into your home and killed your kid? You killed them. ok, that makes sense. For a jury to impose a death sentence is ludicrous. By the way , do you know how many people who were once on death row and when the state abolished the death penalty got out ? Many. life with no parole. That means the victims families will never have to go before a parole board to *remind them of the crime*. I dont care if they order food out *which is a blatant lie.* The warden happens to have a heart evidently, and ordered pizza for a superbowl party, which I might stress is no party. I also wonder what the families of those killed in the Oklahoma bombing think about Tim McVey not being around in a cell for the rest of his rotton life.? LIFE with NO parole .nope he got HIS way , didnt he?

Once again I will explain here that by the time they have exhausted all their appeals it turns out to cost alot less than killing them to warehouse them. Money money money, This actually shows what type of person you are. Good news! there is hope for your attitude. Lets save the money on all those appeals and put it into education. Prison is prison. Education is the answer. Maybe that would deter some crime. Teaching values ? maybe that would help. Not the old way of do what I say not what I do. How about prayer back in school? We love to brush off children being nasty to other children *as kids are cruel*. OH No they are not. Someone turns in front of you cutting you off and your 4 year old is in the backseat and you said what?? You are talking on the phone to a friend and gossiping as your 7 year old is nearby taking in all in like a sponge. Then you wonder why he can only have one friend at a time. Children are not just mean. Ive done these things myself, I know. we need to be kind to one another. Compassionate. If you have been the family member of a murder victim, then why would you want to inflict this kind of pain on someone else?
