To above poster:

Just for the record, it is simply not true that a sexual predator "does not just quit".

Nor do I think that any one is claiming this person is some kind of predator.

You're right, Counselor.

While incarcerated, they quit...

... of coarse, once released, sex offtnders have a 70%+ recidivism rate!

A great accomplishment for all those defense lawyers & bleeding heart liberal psychologists/psychiatrists who sweet talked these vermin's parole board into thinking they were "cured" LOL

I wasn't saying that there's no recidivism. I was only pointing out that it is inaccurate to say "once a predator, always a predator". Just as one wouldn't say "once a murderer, always a murderer".

Also, it is shocking that the recidivism rate is so high. . I would imagine it's actually higher since recidivism only includes those who get caught. Lastly, a minor point, but I don't think whether someone is paroled early or serves their full sentence has much of any influence on whether they recommit their crimes or not; never saw any figures on that.

Your analogy is poor.

Many murders commit that one time "crime of passion" and never murder
again take a life.

Conversely there are some sociopaths for whom "once a murdered, always a murder" is true.

"once a predator, always a predator" is overstating it; But not by much. If given the chance I'd bet a predator will re-commit, and win 70+5 of the time. You just can't get those odds in Las Vegas or Atlantic City!

No ... only how soon they de-humanize" their next victim.

To what debbie has said::: In Ohio the age of consent is 16. This means that if you were 16 and Greg was over 16 years old EVERYTHING that conspired was consentual. Did it ever occur to you that a 20-something year old man was going to prom/homecoming with a teenager, doesn't that seem a bit wrong to you. And where were your parents to allow something like that to happen. I know for a fact that my parents would never have let a man that much older take me to my prom/homecoming regardless of who "broke my heart" by not showing up. Maybe that could have been a time for your parents to teach you about rejection and how to handle yourself in such circumstances, when the could arrise later in life. I just find it hard to believe that you and your parents would have allowed this to happen. Dr. Dew is NOT to blame you and your parents are for making a poor decision. You with the affect of that poor decision you are going to try and punish Dr. Dew? No, I don't think so. That is yet another poor decision that you are making with your life. Come to think of it you are on a roll, you are good at making poor decisions.

Without passing judgement on anyone, I'd like to ask a question:

How is this case progressing toward adjudication?

Bill Crawford
