LOL

He moves jobs from Boardman, to Youngstown! Do I really have to say much more to all you Boardman folks who bash Youngstown? You know who you are.

I know, I know, you are going to say that you didn't want those jobs anyway, that they were piddly ole state jobs, or something like that.

I just can't stop laughing!! I bet the township trustees are just standing there with their mouths WIDE open!

LMAO

Dougie Poo-

The only gain is for government, is that your idea of progress? More taxes for the city of youngstown to waste. The property housing the 38 does not pay property taxes-but the one it was in did. Oh, 18 people transferred to Y-Town from Columbus. Gee, I bet they all get raises to cover the 2.75% in city income taxes+a lot more for moving expenses.

When your only growth industry is government-your in trouble!

once again, the area's negative inpactors spout off and dribble over themselves. something positive, no matter how small, is better than nothing. youngstown continues to build their bank account with income tax dollars while other governments continue to scratch their asses to find more money. youngstown's financial outlook continues to improve. more dilapidated structures are being torn down everyday. yes, they do role the dice funding some questionable economic projects. however, that was said when ungaro gave away land at salts springs road. well, you know what, those company's are now paying property taxes. the abatements have run their course. rebuilding takes time and what contributes to that length is the doomsdayers.

Big deal...wait till Northside closes and all of those high paid nurses and doctors don't have to pay anymore city tax. The movie theaters left, the auto dealers left, the department stores left, the grocery stores are almost gone, the hospital will be next.

Just another form of social welfare for your revitalization of Youngstown. Redistribution of wealth with government money is the only thing keeping Youngstown alive. It's amazing how you take pride in being a welfare state, Dougk. You're pathetic.

Oh yeah, this is just great - Dann is a job POACHER. He moves a bunch of jobs AWAY FROM Boardman to the pits of downtown Youngstown and then he brings a few more instsead of having them in the pits of downtown Columbus. Yeah, this is just GREAT news isn't it?

Dann asked the mayors of Warren and Youngstown for their proposals ... yeah, what I'm really laughing at now is all of you morons in the suburban areas that voted for this clown. You reap what you sow! This guy is just like the mayor of Columbus - taking away jobs from one (newer, developing, convenient, prosperous) area of town and moving them to one (blighted, crime infested, run down, decaying) part of town and calling that progress. WHAT A JOKE!

Let's see how the MAJORITY of you like all of these tactics in the next election. Let's see how the people who NEED to make use of these so called services (or even the employees who are now being uprooted and plopped downtown) like these gimmicks. Surely someone will, because some poor hack will end up with a government job that couldn't get a real job before - but this is all about showmanship - playing games with the taxpayers money to appease the squawking city politicians.

Hey - the democrats said they would "turn around Ohio" ... looks like they sure are - big U-turn - right into the SEWER!

“It's becoming increasingly clear that government services, and not retail activity, are critical in economic growth in cities such as Youngstown, Dann said.”

That is the scariest thing I have heard from a politician in a long time. Tax the population into oblivion to pump money into the corrupt carcass of Youngstown.
