This reflects another idiotic story for the Mahoning Valley. Tear down buildings for what? Why don't our Youngstown leaders travel to other cities that have revitalized their area to see what was done and how? Even Akron, OH is doing better. Wasting money and time is all that is being done. Great Job!!!
We need to hire a smart businessman to run the finances and to turn around the Valley. Not the stupid mayor...most mayors in this country are idiots with a title. McKelvey, Williams, Ungaro, they are just politions telling you what you want to hear.
First thing I would do in this valley is get rid of the Unions. For example, anyone that thinks UAW should exist are even bigger idiots. Why do you think companies don't want to come here? Put up with unions? If I were heading GM, I would tell UAW to go to hell!! Toyota builds a plant in Southern Ohio. White Collar area, Replubican area, and A NON UNION MARKET. GM is going to take more jobs to Mexico because those people keep their mouth shut and just work. Work for pay based on the simplicity of the job. Our news stations should never interview a union leader again. They don't own GM and make the business decisions.
Secondly, give companies M O N E Y and free tax abatement for many years. You need to entice companies to come here after the Unions are gone.
Next, get these police officers on the street to focus on the criminals that are always committing the same crimes. Our judges should enforce the strictest laws for these scumbs in this area to put them in jail for life, if possible.
Lastly, advertise that this area is the cheapest area in the country. With the schools in Canfield and Poland providing high marks, Millcreek Park, and the proximity to Cleveland and Pittsburgh, there is allot to offer. Hire a top business oriented marketing person in the last phase.
COMMON PEOPLE, WAKE UP TO THE REAL WORLD.
