Dude, relax! Either we're talking about high school hoops or this whole topic is stupid and let's just all agree that Willie Bland of the YTown Pride was the best to ever play here and then maybe you can start a boys' gymnastics thread.
In any event, just take deep breath.

To reply to Exactly, thank you!..PERIOD. and yeah , the post started with LOCAL high school,i just added that basically they are good in High school..again , the only 2 players from the area, that played in any kind of NATIONAL all-star game, not local, not the Hoyle, not the Al Beech, not the ginat eagle, blah blah blah, NATIONAL Game, meaning players from ALL OVER THE COUNTRY,"UNITED STATES"...Were Bevly, and Zarlingo..P-E-R-I-O-D, not some kid from Newton Falls, or South, or North, or Austintown..etc, i dont need to go on and on..but im sure someone will say , "hey about that one player from Poland..again, blah blah blah..i rest my case.

OK Zarlingo, you and Tillman were the best ever. You win! And since you said "P E R I O D", this thread is now over. You win again! Three cheers for Zarlingo!
I look forward to your next thread about "Most Talented AND Alphabetically-challenged hoops player ever? (A-Y surnames don't count).

To reply of joe scap, Tilman Bevly is my cousin and he did play in a National All Star tourney. But so did Joe James (Rayen), James played in the then highly touted Dapper Dan Classic in Pittsburgh,Pa against players like Dominique Wilkins and Clark Kellogg who commented that every time James jumped, he talked to God because he had at least a 40 inch vertical!

What ever happened to Joe James from Rayen? I saw him play for Michigan his freshman year, but lost track of him after that.

Herb Lake Sr could very well be the best. Herb Lake Jr. could have been as good as his dad if he didn't always dog it.

You are wrong. I coached against Dials from the seventh grade on. He was injured for quite some time at Boardman, but against many teams his defensive presence was so immense many times shots were impossible.
As far as a prolific career in college, I do not know what could be more prolific than big ten player of the year, but in case you need more proof just ask Daron Williams, Luther Head and Dee Brown what the impact Dials has on ruining perfect regular seaons.
